Andrew Morley is one of Britain’s brightest new talents, with an eclectic style of music, inspired by the greatest music makers, from Buddy Holly and The Beatles to modern day pop, writes Graham Walker (Sheffield Star). He has received many personal accolades and has already worked with some of the music industry’s finest talents - including Mercury Music Award nominee and Mojo Award Winner Richard Hawley, who asked to play on Andrew’s debut album “Tomorrow”, David Ford, Devon Sproule and he was also asked to support the Motown Legends “The Temptations” when they visited Sheffield in 2008 as part of their UK Tour. He was critically acclaimed for his lead role in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story at Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre in November 2007, and has received local success with his long-awaited debut album, Tomorrow, which was featured in HMV's "Favourites category" and "Ones to Listen to Chart". And even the Peter Pan of Pop Sir Cliff Richard commented when hearing a copy of "Tomorrow" "that he loved the album "both the songs and the vocals" and wished Andrew every success in his music career. More recently Andrew has been busy with his song writing, and working towards obtaining professional representation for himself and his songs, and has begun laying down the foundations for a new studio album. Andrew is very happy to be performing at Dronfest again and supporting such a great cause, and hopes you all have a great day and enjoy the show.
